About Us

I began carving in 2009 with a course at Lee Valley and soon after at my home in Outaouais, Quebec were Creepy Creek Originals is based. After getting used to carving in wood I began incorporating some creative ideas I had into the pieces I was carving like wood spirits and wizards. When I was younger I really liked fantasy and began drawing towers, castles, windmills, etc... After finding Eastern Cotton Wood Bark I was inspired by the natural shape of the bark to carve medieval architecture, such as castles, towers and houses. Fantasy and legend went hand in hand with bark carving and through experimenting with the wood I was able to create many things I dreamed up in my head, all the while having fun and being creative. Creating something different and hearing about what people had to say about my art at craft shows was rewarding. I am looking forward to this online store and the new experiences it will bring me.
